Pediatric Physical Therapist
Brain Builders is a growing pediatric therapy clinic in Bel Air, Maryland, providing high-quality, family-centered ST & OT care. We are seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapist (PT) to join our multidisciplinary team of therapists who are passionate about helping children reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities
Assess and evaluate pediatric patients’ physical conditions, including mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
Develop, implement, and modify personalized care plans tailored to each child's needs, incorporating discharge planning and goal setting.
Deliver therapeutic interventions such as physiotherapy techniques, trigger point therapy, and orthopedics-focused treatments.
Coordinate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and community settings.
Educate patients and families on exercises, activity modifications, and home programs to support ongoing progress.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress using EMR systems and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Collaborate with medical professionals in acute care, hospital environments, clinics, or geriatrics when necessary.
Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Experience
Proven experience in pediatric physiotherapy within inpatient hospital settings or outpatient clinics.
Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and care plans specific to pediatrics.
Experience with discharge planning and managing care for children with diverse needs.
Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient management.
Prior work in outpatient clinics is desirable.
Additional skills such as trigger point therapy or specialized training in pediatrics, are advantageous.
Duties
Evaluate and assess patients' physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide hands-on therapy to patients from birth to 21 years of age using various techniques and modalities to restore function and to prevent disability following disease or injury
Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to improve mobility, strength, and function
Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Demonstrates the skills and knowledge necessary to ensure assessment and treatment care is appropriate to the developmental /chronological age of the patient served.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Requirements
Master's degree or DPT in Physical Therapy
Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and trigger point therapy- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to self lift at least 50 lbs
Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PRN
Pay: $41.24 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 36 per week
