Overview
Due to immense and projected growth, Rood & Dinis is expanding its team. We are seeking a technically proficient wizard that can come into our firm with a strong foundation of audit experience and become an integral part of our growth, process improvement, match our team dynamic, and deliver excellent client services. With that being said, we believe a technically effective contributor deserves a reward for increasing company profitability and you will be compensated as such. We operate as a single unit and believe that when the company succeeds, we all succeed.
As an auditor, you will design and execute audit procedures based on your understanding of the client’s programs, risks, and internal control processes. You will use your knowledge and analytical mind-set to audit client financials, test transactions, formulate judgements and ready financial statements for issuance. Given our firm size, you will be responsible for the entire audit and utilize our administrators to assist in readying engagements and their workpapers. You will work alongside another experienced auditor, however, each of you will oversee your own engagements, but may combine skill sets from time to time. This is not a role that requires management of staff nor will any hierarchy exist among audit staff. You will communicate directly with Executive Directors and their employees, and board members to set expectations from the beginning and complete audit projects in a timely and effective fashion. You will work independently and collaborate with a talented group of accounting professionals to deliver exceptional service and share meaningful insights to our clients. We expect you to take a project and run with it.
Responsibilities

Prepare all necessary planning, testing, workpaper support and engagement binder closes with high attention to detail.
Prepare all necessary financial statements, related disclosures, supplementary schedules and management letters with a high level of thoroughness and accuracy.
Set reasonable expectations at inception, provide project updates to clients as you go, communicate findings discovered during the engagement and maintain a professional relationship throughout the year.
