This position also provides project support to more senior engineers acting as mentors to help gain experience. This position serves as focal point for driving technical engineering solutions on new product concepts to ensure financial targets, schedule, and adherence to specified safety and quality standards. The position also drives Brand level value engineering and advanced product quality planning. The job role serves as a technical engineering liaison with Operations and collaborates with the cross functional New Product Development Team to support efficient flow of new product concepts through the new product development lifecycles. This job also supports team level corrective action programs administered by CPI.\nWhat Your Impact Will Be:\nProvides feedback to design & PMs during initial concept stages to determine feasibility of planned toy.\nAssists with the development of new mechanisms to achieve toy functionality goals. Assists with the creation of breadboard models as and when needed.\nCreation of engineering BOM\nPoint of contact with dev houses, tooling and plants, providing design guidance (facilitated as needed by Program Execution teams)\nAssists in translating design vision for toy into technical specs that can be passed on to development houses, tooling, plants.\nAssists in definition of product function through Functional Spec.\nPerforms routine engineering activities relative to various processes in product development.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nBA/BS degree in an Engineering discipline preferred or equivalent work experience.\n2+ years of experience in the toys or consumer goods industry\nFundamental understanding of common Engineering principles and practices.\nGeneral understanding of toys including automation, tooling, materials, molding requirements, code release, logistics robotics and sound.\nGeneral knowledge of plastic production processes and assembly techniques for plastic product.\nTheir thinking is guided by somewhat diversified procedures and specialized standards.\nThese jobs or roles are confronted with multiple choice situations, but through prior exposure or experience have learned which choice to apply to each situation.\nKnowledge of various Raw materials; textiles, plastics, etc., in addition to the Manufacturing Process.\nExperience and practice in CAD sofwares (like SolidWorks or Creo).\nWorking knowledge of FEA. Able to read of understand results\nUnderstanding of Statistics and probabilities.\nAwareness to toy industry norms and regulation (ASTM and ISO)\n\nThe annual base salary range for this position is between $78,400.00 - $98,000.00.\n**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.\n\nDon’t meet every single requirement?
