This includes Niantic’s custom fabrication capabilities, covering a broad range of engineered seals, flash/die cut gaskets / molded rubber parts and specialty hose assemblies.\n\nPurpose:\nPrimary responsibility is to control raw material inventory. This involves locating, adjusting and identifying problems with the inventory to allow smooth operation of Production. Position reports to the Purchasing Manager.\n\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nRealign the Fabrication Raw Material and Finished Goods for the Niantic Seal Division by:\n1. Load and unload presses in accordance to the Production schedule.\n2. Keep track of material usage on all jobs coming off the Production floor.\n3. Update work orders with actual material used. Report any variances to Purchasing and Engineering.\n\nOther Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nManagement of other inventory functions while coordinating with internal as well as external sources\nof the organization.\n\nAssist in raw goods cycle counts.\nSet up and maintain accurate and organized raw good stocking locations.\nRotate materials per work instructions to maximize shelf life. Date labels on all incoming raw material\nto insure FIFO rotation of inventory.\n\nPeriodic walk though of raw materials to check shelf life and dispose of expired material per work\ninstruction.\n\nAid in the inspection of incoming raw materials when necessary.\nIncorporate a Kanban based visual inventory system for adhesives and other products deemed\nnecessary.\n\nSegregate and identify unacceptable goods for disposition per nonconforming material and service\nprocedures and instructions.\n\nOperate powered lift trucks. (LP fork-lift and electric lift truck)\nPhysical Demands:\n\nAble to lift up to 50 lbs. (packages, pallets, snow removal, tools, equipment)\nLong periods of standing, bending, reaching\nRequired Education and Experience:\n\n5 years work experience required\nHigh School diploma or equivalency\nAbility to read and write English Skill/Aptitudes\nPossess a strong math and analytical skill sets\nAbility to operate independently and responsibly\nPrior cycle count and material handling preferred.\nKnowledge of operating a PC and working on inventory software and programs\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nFamiliar and comfortable with a variety of measurement tools and methods used in counting and\nverifying inventory accuracy\n\nOther Duties:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
