HVAC Technician
Job Description
Day to Day:Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, evaporative coolers, ventilation systems, and exhaust fansTroubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control components of HVAC and related building systemsMonitor and adjust Building Automation Systems (BAS) to maintain proper temperature, airflow, and system performanceDiagnose system issues and complete repairs to minimize downtime in a hospital environmentSupport cooling tower operations, water treatment processes, and associated maintenanceConduct system performance checks and make efficiency adjustments as neededRespond to work orders and urgent maintenance requests across the facilityCollaborate with other facilities and maintenance team members on projects and repairsDocument completed work and communicate updates clearly to leadershipEnsure all work meets safety standards and healthcare compliance requirements REQUIRED4+ years of HVAC maintenance experience in commercial or large residential environmentsEPA Universal CertificationExperience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and controls/BAS systemsHigh School Diploma or GED + HVAC trade school or equivalent training PREFERREDExperience working in a hospital or healthcare settingExperience with cooling towers, water treatment systems, or advanced BAS platforms
