The responsibilities include but are not limited to, understanding elevation changes and making informed decisions on depths to drill at to avoid hitting underground utilities.\n\nWe offer great benefits including:\n\nPaid weekly\nHealth, Dental & Vision Insurance\nVacation Pay\nHoliday Pay\nLife, Accident, and Short-Term Disability Insurance\nPaid sick leave in accordance with applicable state or municipal laws\n\nWhat will you do:\n\nOperate the drill rig efficiently and safely\nNavigate drill head to avoid utilities and maintain correct depths\nInspect and fuel vehicles before shifts\nLearn and independently operate facility equipment\nUse all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)\nStay updated on industry technological advancements\nCommunicate effectively to resolve issues\nSupport team efforts and uphold GridSource's mission and values\nMaintain a positive work environment and build professional relationships\nIdentify and implement process improvements\nFollow GridSource policies and procedures\n\nWhat you will need:\n\nValid Class D license required\nRead, interpret, and update construction prints and as-built\nSupervise and manage technician crews\nExperience excavating, locating, fusion, boring HDPE gas lines\nMinimum 5 years of experience in underground telecom/broadband construction\nPrior gas industry experience required\nAbility to operate heavy equipment and lead crews effectively\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills\nKnowledge of construction practices, NEC, OSHA regulations, and safety standards\nHigh school diploma or GED required; college, vocational training, and NCTI/SCTE or similar certifications preferred\nPhysically able to lift up to 95 lbs., climb a 16-foot ladder, and work in loud, outdoor environments year-round\nWillingness to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed\n\nGridSource is a proud supporter of our U.S. military, veterans, and their families.
