Java Software Developer

Position SummaryAs a Software Developer with LCE, you will assist with the design, development, testing, and integration of software to satisfy system/subsystems functional requirements for new and existing applications.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesProvide software engineering support for fleet issuesSoftware development in an Agile environmentAddress software defects and change requestsDevelop technical reports and documentationAdherence to Information Assurance (IA) standardsUnit test and integration documentation development and executionSupport configuration management processesResolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigationAnalyze, specify, design, develop, code, test, integrate and document software test modules, systems, and subsystems to provide new functional capabilities and improve existing systemsRequired Education, Skills, and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering or a related technical field 3+ years experienceExperience w/ JavaProficient in one or more high-level programming languages: Python, C#, Ruby, Perl, etc.Comfortable working in Linux environmentsAbility to work well in teams & independently to solve complex technical problemsPreferred Experience Windows and Linux administrationKnowledge of information security principlesExperience programming in an Agile environmentPrevious experience in the following:IDS/IPS, penetration, & vulnerability testingSecure coding practices, ethical hacking, & threat modelingTCP/IP, computer networking, routing, & switchingDLP, anti-virus, & anti-malwareSecurity Information and Event Management (SIEM)Physical Demands And ExpectationsRegular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sittingAbility to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistanceAbility to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipmentThis position description represents a summary of the major components and requirements of the outlined job.
