{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"ca0f52cf3a202ccf7ff97e0e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ca0f52cf3a202ccf7ff97e0e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/ca0f52cf3a202ccf7ff97e0e","title":"Part Time Assistant Athletic Trainer","description":"Job Family Group: Staff Department/Office: Athletic Trainers Time Type: Part time\nCompensation: Please note, starting salaries are based on factors including internal equity, relevant experience, and education.\nExemption Status: Non-Exempt\nJob Description Responsible for the coordination and administration of all aspects of the athletic training room and sports medicine offerings for the intercollegiate athletic programs as deemed by the Head Athletic Trainer.\nJOB DUTIES Onsite care and management of injuries and illnesses including: prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation.\nProvides accommodation recommendations, related to sport, for student athletes with restrictions or limitations.\nAssists with accident insurance claims processing.\nMinimizes risk of injury through awareness, education and prevention strategies.\nMaintains student athlete insurance information.\nAssists with training, scheduling and payroll for student staff.\nAssists with physical examinations and screenings.\nAssists with drug testing per department policy.\nMakes appropriate physician’s referrals and appointments.\nCommunicates with physicians and coaching staff regarding the injury status of athletes.\nAssists the Athletic Director and coaching staff in determining whether the athletic facility is in optimal and safe condition.\nHelps monitor weather conditions and dangerous environments (humidity/lightning).\nCoordinates the purchasing and use of all equipment and supplies needed for the operation of the athletic training facility, in accordance with University policies.\nAdheres to conference guidelines, including visiting team accommodations and services.\nADDITIONAL DUTIES Abides by NCAA Division III rules and regulations.\nCooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.\nComplies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.\nPerforms other duties as required.\nEDUCATION Required: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.\nPreferred: Master's degree or equivalent from four-year college or university.\nEXPERIENCE Required: One year of experience with an intercollegiate athletic program.\nAdministrative experience with operating an athletic training room.\nPreferred: Three years of experience.\nTrinity University aims to attract an efficient, dedicated staff whose talents will continue to grow the University as an exceptional place to study and work.\nTrinity University will post non-exempt staff positions for at least 5 business days and exempt staff positions for at least 10 business days.
