Structural Design Engineer (Conroe)

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross‐functional product groups to design and improve innovative telecom products that meet performance, cost, and manufacturability requirementsCreate production‐ready designs and drawings, applying structural, thermal, and aesthetic considerations while ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and efficient fabricationCoordinate documentation, packaging requirements, and part‐number systems, maintaining consistency and supporting inventory, shipping, and drafting teamsWork with internal teams and vendors on make‐versus‐buy decisions, technical evaluations, sourcing options, and ensuring designs are not limited to single‐source suppliersSupport manufacturing, testing, and field activities by resolving build issues, developing fixtures and processes, assisting with FAT/SAT, and driving quality improvementsParticipate in customer interactions, testing programs, process improvements, and documentation initiatives while maintaining strong communication and teamwork across departmentsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering, with 1–2 years of design experience; exposure to FEA, thermal analysis, and design‐for‐manufacturing preferredStrong proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with additional CAD tools; skilled in producing manufacturable drawings and applying sound engineering principlesWorking knowledge of materials, welding practices, sheet‐metal and tubular steel construction, manufacturing processes, tooling, and assembly methodsExperience with PDM/document control systems, evaluating design tradeoffs, and creating accurate technical models and drawingsEffective communicator with strong organizational skills; able to work independently, adapt quickly, and thrive in fast‐paced R&D and evolving industry environmentsSelf‐driven, detail‐oriented, and coachable, with the ability to stay current on industry standardsMaintain a valid driver's license.Salary: $75,000 base; candidates holding a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license may be considered up to $90,000Ask for: Aarti ManchandaAjulia Executive Search is a New Jersey based Executive Search Firm specializing in retained searches in multiple sectors, including Manufacturing, Finance, IT, Legal, and Pharmaceutical.
