This role involves hands-on work modifying residential spaces to enhance safety, mobility, and independence for people with disabilities. Typical projects include installation of roll-in showers, installation of overhead track-mounted lift systems, vertical platform lifts, indoor and outdoor ramps, handrails, grab bars, and other mobility-enhancing equipment and home modifications. Specialized equipment training will be provided.\nIdentify and resolve installation-related and technical issues that may arise on-site.\nCarry out demolition work, including removal of existing structures or elements to prepare the site for modifications. Build and modify structures as needed to accommodate accessibility features, ensuring high-quality outcomes.\nAdhere to detailed project plans, blueprints, and manufacturer installation instructions to ensure accurate and safe installations.\nCollaborate with building inspectors to ensure projects meet municipality code expectations and produce positive outcomes.\nTest installed equipment for proper functionality and performance, ensuring all systems are fully operational and meet safety standards.\nInstall power sources as needed for equipment, ensuring all electrical connections comply with safety codes and manufacturer requirements.\nDemonstrate all safety guidelines and industry standards during installations to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulations.\nCommunicate effectively with customers to understand their needs, answer questions, and ensure satisfaction with modifications.\nCollaborate with Adaptive Solutions Project Manager to stay on schedule, address project-specific needs, and ensure timely completion.\nEnsure tools and equipment are properly maintained, calibrated, and in safe working conditions.\nComplete daily reports of work performed, including any challenges or adjustments needed during the project, and properly code time spent on each project.\nAll other duties as assigned.\nStandard - Demands of the Job\nAble to perform functions described in job responsibilities.\nAble to lift 75 pounds and assist with lifting, transferring, or moving equipment up to 200 pounds with the assistance of equipment. This includes loading and unloading from average vehicles and vans.\nAble to drive company maintenance vehicles independently. May be exposed to extreme weather conditions.\nAble to operate email, use timeclock program and respond to work orders.
