Manage the Major Gifts Officer in their territory, supporting their professional development, stewardship and cultivation activities to drive revenue in this geography from donors giving $25,000 - $50,000 in a 24 month period.

Meet one-on-one with prospects/donors and coordinate program staff and volunteers in the cultivation and solicitation of major gifts prospects/donors. Well-honed skills in developing donor cultivation and solicitation strategies.

Reporting to the Senior Philanthropy Officer, the position of Major Gifts Officer is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors and prospects to make gifts at a four to six-figure level.

Manage a customized portfolio of ~50-75 high net-worth donors and prospects; create a comprehensive cultivation and solicitation strategy for each donor in the portfolio based on their philanthropic goals; directly solicit major gifts in support of 2021 - 2025 raise.

Coordinate with the development team to support the organization’s fundraising, by advising on the laws applicable to fundraising events, corporate and individual giving, and other donor cultivation efforts.

Knowledge and experience in the following areas: the nature and dimensions of philanthropy, ethics, motivations for giving and volunteering, research and cultivation practices, standard fundraising techniques including face-to-face solicitation, proposal writing, special events, telephone solicitation, and direct mail, and, development office functions including gift processing, prospect and donor histories, and fundraising reporting.

This includes St. Anthony produced events as well as third-party hosted/produced events, including but are not limited to, St. Anthony's fundraising events, donor hosted holiday season events, annual volunteer appreciation events and donor cultivation and stewardship events.
