We are seeking a lead molecular biologist/protein engineer responsible for construct design, molecular cloning, multi-piece DNA assembly, site-directed mutagenesis, preparation of libraries and design of molecular biological and screening strategies.

Design and implement computational strategies that elucidate protein degradation biophysics, kinetics and substrate specificity. We seek a collaborative and highly innovative computational research leader to join our Predictive Sciences team and develop novel approaches at the interface of structural bioinformatics, chemoinformatics, and predictive molecular design that originate, elucidate, and prioritize the next generation of targeted protein degradation therapies for both hematological and solid tumor indications.

Execute protein purification methods on gravity or AKTA HPLC/ FPLC using affinity, ion exchange, hydrophobic, reverse-phase and size exclusion chromatography. The main job role of this position is recombinant protein expression from culture platforms such as E. Coli and perform protein purification using various preparative chromatography, formulate the recombinant proteins according to existing or newly developed procedures.

Experience with general protein biochemical lab techniques (SDS-PAGE, western blotting, immunoprecipitation, tissue culture) is required, and exposure to protein/peptide analysis by mass spectrometry is highly desired.

Experience with protein expression and purification and an understanding of protein purification techniques is preferred. You will also work on the discovery and engineering of therapeutic biologics including antibodies, antibody fragments, and fusion proteins.

Also will apply sample preparation and enrichment methods including antibody-free approaches, protein, and peptide immunoaffinity in conjunction with LCMS-based detection using high resolution and triple quadrupole MS.This position will work in project teams and interactclosely with project leads, biologists, and protein engineers.

The successful candidate will engage in the identification and evaluation of novel procedures or technologies that could serve to bolster the productivity of the antibody discovery and protein engineering teams.

Established reputation with a strong track record of scientific impact in driving drug discovery programs forward by initiating and implementing protein biochemistry, biophysics, protein mechanism of action and structure/function studies.

Strong laboratory expertise pertaining to cell biology, including immortalized and primary cell culture (2D and 3D), development of ex-vivo models, gene and protein expression, assay development and optimization as well as familiarity with multiplex assays.

Our novel integrated drug discovery platform consists of state-of-the-art medicinal chemistry and DNencoded library technologies, ultra-high throughput cell-based screening, deep biological understanding of protein degradation, and extensive proteomics and informatics capabilities.

Additional experience with protein/peptide analysis by mass spectrometry and chemo-proteomic workflows and/or other biophysical characterization techniques is considered a plus.
