This role will play a key part in modernizing legacy systems, building scalable platforms, and supporting public-facing digital services. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with strong full-stack development experience, capable of working across the entire software development lifecycle--from requirements analysis through deployment and ongoing support. This role will be on-site 3 days per week with possibility of 2 days remote.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and enterprise systemsLead full-stack development efforts, including front-end, back-end, and database componentsCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutionsDevelop APIs and microservices using modern frameworks and technologiesBuild responsive, user-friendly interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworksPerform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developersConduct testing, debugging, and performance optimizationSupport deployment, release management, and system maintenance activitiesEnsure compliance with government security, accessibility, and data standardsParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)6+ years of experience in web application development (senior-level expertise)Strong experience with:C#, .NET / .NET CoreWeb APIs / RESTful services / GraphQLAngular (v15+), TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3SQL Server, T-SQL, database designExperience with version control tools (Git, GitHub)Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologiesExperience performing system design, development, testing, and deploymentPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting government or public sector projectsFamiliarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar)Experience with Microsoft Power PlatformKnowledge of Linux environmentsExposure to AI/ML development or integrationsExperience modernizing legacy systemsImportant NoticeThis role is part of a proposal for the Sacramento County Agency.
