Supplies parts and/or material as needed as well as other duties as assigned. Will dispose of scrap material for purposed or regrind. Direct supervision is provided by the shift supervisor, but the routine nature of the work allows for reasonable independent work scheduling within prescribed guidelines.\nRESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nMust be able to lift up to 55 pounds.\nRepeated bending and lifting during the shift.\nMust be able to wear steel-toe footwear.\nAdequate visual acuity to qualify for a forklift license.\nMust be able to operate a pallet jack for product movement.\nMust be capable of climbing ladders/stairs for material changes.\nMust be capable of standing for entire shift.\nMust be physically capable of walking an entire shift.\nRESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:\nUnder general supervision is responsible for the following major tasks (check those that apply):\nSet up, operates, fills, empties, and identifies pre-dried hoppers, grinders definers, metal separator, and similar equipment.\nAssures hoppers/dryers are refilled with proper material utilizing vacuum feeders or hand fill method to insure hoppers don’t run empty.\nAssists in operating presses including relief, set-up, color changes, and mold changes as needed and directed.\nMaintains general housekeeping.\nGauging; training; and assisting other utilities including relief for breaks\nMust check to see if dryer on and working correctly (every shift).\nCheck and clean filters daily (every shift).\nMaintain log books, understand and use supply Kanbans\nIdentifies and separates material for grinding\nCorrectly identifies mater for grinding and labeling Kirby’s for material movement.\nMix materials by hand or system as required\nAble to clean operate and maintain Maguire unit at press\nSort and grind parts as necessary\nShould be able to perform general trouble shooting for material loader system\nMaintains 5S and housekeeping expectation of grinder/loader area.\nOther work as assigned by supervisor.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nSKILLS AND ABILITIES:\nPossesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
