Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)The LSSP will provide psychological services for the LPISD student population. Psychological services are inclusive of assessment to determine conditions of Emotional Disturbance, Autism, and Other Health Impairment (Behavioral/Social/Emotional Disorders). The LSSP is available for consultation as well as direct services with students who are experiencing severe behavioral difficulties in school resulting in academic failure. The LSSP will also consult with teachers and administration regarding student behavior/social/emotional concerns and act as a liaison between LPISD, community based agencies such as residential facilities, private schools, and behavioral centers.Job Qualifications:* Master's Degree in School Psychology or related field from an accredited college or university* Valid Texas License as a Specialist in School Psychology granted by the Texas Board of Examiners of PsychologistsSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Skill in the use of tests and measurements for assessing intellectual, academic and behavior disordersKnowledge of evaluations, interventions, strategies and counseling services for social, emotional and behavioral disordersExcellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to travel to multiple work locations as assignedOther Information:Apply online, attaching your resume and letter of interest to your application.
