Must have at least 10 years overall in Data Analyst experience.\nThe role of the Data Analyst is to provide data analysis support for the Office of Education Through Employment Pathways, which is located within the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education. This is a highly skilled position and familiarity with educational data and policies is required.\nThe position will require the resource to produce data analysis, with a focus on education and workforce-related data sets, and to produce public-facing write ups of the data analysis that share key data insights in accessible language for the public. The Data Analyst shall have knowledge and expertise with R and Tableau. The role will involve working closely across education and workforce agency teams. The ETEP Data Analyst should possess extremely strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to address both business and technical audiences.\nDuties:\nAnalyzes information and statistical data to prepare reports and studies for use by professionals.\nCreates charts and graphics to present statistical analysis in an easily digestible format for a non-technical audience\nCreate public-facing written reports to present analytic findings to stakeholders and the public in accessible language\nPlans, organizes, and conducts research focused on education and workforce related topics.\nMinimum Education/Certification Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree in Data Analytics or related field, or equivalent experience\nExperience working in R required\nExperience working in Tableau required\nExperience of working with business stakeholders to support their data needs.\nExperience presenting technical information to non-technical audiences\nExperience working with education and workforce-related data preferred\n---------------------------------------------\nCONTRACT JOB DESCRIPTION\nResponsibilities:\n1. Delivers support and design for industry specific technologies that require integration with systems or networks.\n5. Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts.\n6. Functions as a niche technical SME.\n7.
