This role requires expertise in financial data processing, analytics, and software development to enable data-informed decision-making in a fast-paced, research-oriented firm.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, refine, and maintain quantitative models supporting equity market strategies and trading algorithmsDesign and enhance proprietary financial data repositories, data warehouses, and market data platformsAutomate, monitor, and improve ETL workflows across multiple data sources such as Bloomberg, Compustat, and CapIQBuild and manage reporting, analytics dashboards, and performance metrics platformsCollaborate with quantitative researchers and portfolio managers to fulfill data requests and support model developmentOptimize large-scale data processing pipelines and storage solutions for efficiency and accuracyEnsure data quality, consistency, and security in production environments QualificationsMaster's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field2+ years of professional experience with software coding in Python, Julia, C++, or C#Strong proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, and relational database management, with Microsoft SQL Server experience preferredIn-depth understanding of financial equity data and institutional data sources such as Bloomberg, Compustat, CapIQ (familiarity preferred)Experience processing large, complex datasets with high performance and reliabilityAdvanced skills in mathematics and statistical analysis for quantitative modelingExcellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within diverse teams and stakeholder groups Required SkillsProgramming: Python, Julia, C++, C#Databases: SQL Server, SQL, Data Warehousing, ETL processesData Platforms: Bloomberg, Compustat, CapIQ, other financial data sourcesData Processing: Large dataset management, automation, scriptingStatistical & Mathematical Analysis: Quantitative modeling, analytics, data visualization Preferred SkillsExperience with financial data APIs and data integration toolsKnowledge of machine learning techniques and statistical modelingFamiliarity with cloud data services and frameworks (e.g., Azure, AWS)Prior exposure to data governance, security protocols, and compliance standards Pay range and compensation package$150,000 - $225,000 base salary plus discretionary bonus, full benefits package, profit-sharing, 401(k), and paid time off.The Phoenix Group Advisors is an equal opportunity employer.
