In this role, you will prepare returns for some of the world's best athletes. A hybrid work schedule is available for this position outside of tax season. If you are comfortable with routine and value stability in your role, we want to hear from you.Roles & Responsibilities:Research, plan and prepare US individual and business income tax returnsCollect and organize clients' tax documentsComplete initial input and review of tax information in tax softwareAdvise clients on how to minimize tax liability and notify them of any tax changesSupport compliance with taxing agency requirementsRespond to federal and state notices and assist in government auditsParticipate in tax analysis and research projects and administrative tasks, as assignedSkills and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required, preferably in finance or accountingFinancial certification (CPA/EA) strongly preferredBroad knowledge and understanding in individual tax preparation, preferably with multi-state experienceMust be methodical, thorough and organizedExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong customer service skillsAdvanced Microsoft Excel and Word skillsExperience with CCH Axcess or any other tax software a plusExcellent interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with colleagues at all levels inside and outside the organizationAbility to exercise good judgment and discretion, especially regarding sensitive or confidential client and organizational matters.For consideration please submit your résumé and cover letter on-line at www.octagon.com in the "Careers" section.We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
