This team is responsible for the architecture, engineering and sustainment of AF Cloud Digital Engineering platform currently deployed on AWS Cloud. This work supports the Cloud One Digital Engineering program under the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Office for Network Integration (AFLCMC/HNI). Cloud One is an existing global, interconnected, virtualized, hybrid, and IT infrastructure hosting mission systems, applications, services, and data serves the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and other Government Customers. Cloud One facilitates the Government's efforts to migrate applications to a cloud environment, allowing the closure of data centers to support the Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) and allowing for increased efficiencies across the entire spectrum of the USAF operations.\nThis position is hybrid remote. Candidates may be required to work onsite as needed. Preferred candidates will be located near Gunter AFB (Montgomery, AL), Hanscom AFB (Boston, MA), Andrews AFB or Joint Base Charleston, SC.\nKey Duties/Responsibilities:\nAnalyze existing system architecture and recommend secure design changes to the Cloud One AWS environment based on project objectives.\nDevelop scripts and workflows as needed for automated deployment (IaC/CaC).\nProvide oral and written input to design documents, best practice configurations, and test procedures.\nExecute testing to validate system performance IAW developed test plans and criteria.\nRecommend improvements to the existing architecture and process to reduce repetitive or time-intensive tasks in favor of automated solutions.\nProvide experienced input on AWS cloud toolsets and best practices.\nConfigure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems.\nProactively identify and resolve operational, tooling and process inefficiencies.\nQualifications\nTYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nBachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more of experience.\nAdditional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.\nREQUIRED CLEARANCE:\nInterim Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain Secret clearance required to maintain employment\nUS citizenship required\nREQUIRED SKILLS:\nDemonstrated experience with: AWS, Networking, VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, SQL, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, and Guacamole\nExperience working with DevSecOps tool chains\nProven experience containerizing applications\nExperience Configuring and troubleshooting cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems\nHands-on expertise establishing and maintaining SQL and NoSQL databases\nExperience preparing technical documentation\nExperience working in a team environment with the ability to mentor junior team members\nREQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:\nAWS Cloud Certification with experience as AWS Cloud Engineer\nSecurity+ Certification or equivalent\nDESIRED SKILLS:\nExperience with Zero trust architectures\nExperience with AWS Workspaces or experience deploying VDI solutions to AWS Cloud\nExperience with AF Cloud One or Platform 1 development, engineering, operations and sustainment\nExperience installing DE tools including Cameo, 3D Experience, DOORS, SPARX, MathWorks, and AFSIM\nIn-depth understanding of, and experience as a cloud engineer with AWS, Networking, VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, SQL, storage, Barracuda\n\nSAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.\n\nCovid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
