NOTE: Software development can include requirements specification/review, design/implementation with review, and testing.\n* Interface and communicate with team members performing electrical, electronic, and mechanical design for products.\n* Interface and communicate with internal/external customers for products and support any issues that occur during software development.\n* Partake and support any relevant root cause analysis.\n* Support the development of ISO 26262 for product development.\n* Develop product with appropriate ASPICE level 2 documentation to show base practices and general practices are followed.\n* Adhere to the policies and procedures.\n* Support the APQP process.\n* Other duties as assigned.\n\n*Competencies*\n\n* Technical Writing\n* Professional Communication\n* Personal Effectiveness\n\n*Travel Requirements*\n\n* Low (10%), mostly within the United States and Mexico.\n\n*Required Education and Experience*\n\n* B.S. Electrical or Computer Engineering NOTE: A related degree may also be acceptable (ex. B.S. Computer Science).\n* At least 10 years of experience developing software for the automotive industry.\n* Experience with the C programming language.\n* Experience with one or more microcontroller families.\n* Experience reading circuit schematics and component data sheets.\n* Experience developing software for automotive applications.\n* Experience with hardware/software integration.\n* Experience with the use of test equipment (ex. oscilloscope, multi-meter, power supply).\n\n*Preferred Experience*\n\n* Experience with one or more assembly languages.\n* Experience developing software without the use of a real-time operating system.\n* Experience with one or more static analysis tools.\n* Experience with automotive vehicle networks (ex.
