Uber Sr. Program Manager (Tech)About the Role The Uber Sr. Program Manager (Tech) plays a critical role in implementing high-impact, org-wide initiatives and continuously improves processes to increase the effectiveness of our engineering organizations! Program Managers are the owners of team productivity. The role promotes visibility and alignment through effective communication, brings efficiency and results through continuous improvement and problem solving, and fosters cross org collaboration and teamwork. They translate Uber wide initiatives into org specific goals, break it down for engineers to understand and set clear achievable goals for the organization. You are a bridge and a connector for the company, thrive in a dynamic work environment, and are able to juggle and prioritize multiple projects with ease. You are intuitive, focused, driven, organized, insightful and productive. You break through communication issues and optimally develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You build trust across the organization. You are not afraid to be direct, but you strive to act with emotional intelligence and integrity!Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or Mathematics, related quantitative subject area, or equivalent practical experienceMinimum of 6+ years of proven experience as a Program Manager (Tech) or Technical Program Manager or Engineering Manager in a software, SaaS, or systems development environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional emotional intelligenceAbility to influence and empower people across a broad variety of job functions through your relationshipsStrong organizational skills to lead multiple, challenging priorities simultaneously, without losing sight of the highest priority itemsStrong technical, analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive decisionsStrong technical experience in large distributed systems, ability to conceptualize and lead delivery in a microservice environmentSolid technical proficiency and an ability to comprehend technical designs, challenges, and risks.
