The ideal candidate has deep development expertise combined with hands on experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident management in production environments. Splunk querying is a mandatory skill for this role. Key ResponsibilitiesApplication Development (Major Experience Area)Design, develop, and enhance Java/Spring Boot microservices.Implement REST APIs, business logic, and integrations with Cassandra and Kafka.Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and optimization.Collaborate with architecture teams to improve system scalability and reliability.Production Support (Secondary but Required Experience)Provide L2/L3 support for production microservices and distributed systems.Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive permanent fixes.Troubleshoot issues across:Java/Spring Boot servicesCassandra clusters (latency, consistency, read/write issues)Kafka topics, consumer lag, partitionsSupport deployments, configuration changes, and environment validation.Participate in on call rotation for critical production incidents.= Monitoring & Observability ToolsSplunk (Mandatory)Write advanced SPL queries for log analysis.Build dashboards, alerts, and reports.Identify patterns, anomalies, and root causes using Splunk logs.GrafanaCreate dashboards for application and infrastructure metrics.Monitor latency, throughput, JVM metrics, and service health.DynatraceAnalyze service flows, traces, CPU/memory usage, and performance bottlenecks.Identify slow transactions and dependency issues.= Required Technical SkillsBackend DevelopmentStrong experience with Java 8+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices.Understanding of concurrency, collections, JVM internals, and performance tuning.DatabasesHands on experience with Cassandra:CQLData modelingPerformance tuningCluster operations basicsMessaging / StreamingStrong knowledge of Apache Kafka:Producers/consumersConsumer groupsLag monitoringTopic configurationProduction Support SkillsStrong debugging and log analysis skills.Experience with Linux commands and shell scripting.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git).Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus.Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes is an advantage.> Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem solving mindset.Ability to stay calm and effective during production incidents.Excellent communication and cross team collaboration.Ownership mindset with a focus on reliability and stability.Diverse Lynx LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
