If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.\nJob Summary\nTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Test Development Engineer located in Austin TX.\nReporting to the Director of Rack and System Integration, the Test Development Engineer will provide on-site maintenance and development of Manufacturing Test (FAST) related to Customer(s) programs. This may include working with Customer Engineering, Flex Global Operations, and other technical resources as related to the execution of Program. This may include development of test framework, implementation of customer test scripts, or general maintenance and upkeep of existing code. Test Development Engineer may work to support other FAST Engineering resources as necessary\nWhat a typical day looks like:\nCollaborate with other global test developers to drive consistently across projects within the site for implementation standards and support requirements\nExecute ECOs and other process changes as required to meet product requirements within scheduled milestones.\nCreating production test processes for servers, storage, communications and related products, coordinating with site IT, CFT personnel with global CEC Design and Test Engineering teams.\nSupport production teams with debug/FA and quality reporting to drive yield improvement\nThe experience we’re looking to add to our team:\nBA/BS degree in relevant field\n2-4 years’ experience in design, manufacturing, or testing computers, storage, or networking products\nStrong hardware architecture and networking knowledge\nAdministrator-level Linux experience\nProgramming skills in shell scripts and Python are essential, and experience with Go, YAML, or similar is a benefit.\nConfident customer interfacing skills\nMay travel up to 50% based on business needs\nExcellent written and verbal communication\nExperience in working in an NPI environment and transferring products between facilities.\nWorking knowledge of production assembly and test processes\nAble to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain a clear and customer-focused approach to solving problems\nFamiliarity with software development and tracking software such as VisualStudio, Jira/Bitbucket/Git, etc.\n#LI-\nYV1\nEA1\nEA42\nSS26\nAA01\nCH12\nMS14\nCC11\nEC37\nPF38\nJS21\nWhat you'll receive for the great work you provide:\nFull range of medical, dental, and vision plans\nLife Insurance\nShort-term and Long-term Disability\nMatching 401(k) Contributions\nVacation and Paid Sick Time\nTuition Reimbursement\nApplication Deadline:\nApplications for this job position will be accepted for at least five days following the job posting start date below and continuing until the end date below or until the position is filled.
