Provides basic engineering calculations and analyses support in the office and in the field on a variety of engineering projects. Supports designs and detailing of structural components for building/structure permit submittals.\n\nSTRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER JOB DUTIES\n\nAssists in developing the structural design for a variety of engineering projects.\n\nPerforms calculations for components of structures.\n\nCreates construction plans and details for structures conforming with company standards.\n\nWorks closely with team members to gain understanding of project requirements and tasks as well as office procedures, policies, and guidelines.\n\nListens and communicates effectively with staff to maintain a team atmosphere.\n\nWorks under budgets and timetables assigned by the Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor of Science Degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering with emphasis in structures from an accredited college.\n\nMinimum of 1 years’ experience in structural analysis, design, and detailing of structures.\n\nKnowledge and experience in concrete, steel, and masonry structural systems.\n\nKnowledge and experience in commercial structural analysis and design software.\n\nKnowledge of the California Building Code and ASCE 7.\n\nProficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.\n\nEIT preferred.\n\nWE OFFER\nCompetitive salaries, relocation assistance, excellent benefits package, remote work flexibility, and an active and positive team building, work environment.\n\nCannon is an equal opportunity employer.
