We design and develop our back end systems and REST APIs that serve hundreds of millions of searches a day, collecting and parsing data across thousands of partners to get the best deals for our customers.\n\nIn this role you will get to:\n\nParticipate in critical projects with direct impact on the evolution of Priceline's business.\n\nBe part of a cross-functional agile team that continuously experiments, iterates and delivers on new product objectives.\n\nShowcase your development skills of Core Java or similar programming languages.\n\nApply your programming skills towards building low latency and high throughput transactional services with continuous integration and automation testing.\n\nImplement SQL composition skills that collects and queries data for investigation and analysis in real time from our applications.\n\nUtilize your knowledge to understand our codebase, systems and business requirements to effectively make changes to our applications.\n\nEffectively collaborate and engage in team efforts, speak up for what you think are the best solutions and be able to converse respectfully and compromise when necessary.\n\nWho you are:\n\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.\n\n5+ years of experience in software engineering and development.\n\nCoding experience with Core Java or similar programming languages.\n\nThorough SQL compositions skills for composing queries and analysis.\n\nComfort and experience with Spring Frameworks, Web Services and APIs.\n\nEstablished and proven expertise with server side Javascript and Node. js, an Influencer of the use of Git and Gitflow.\n\nExperience in Microservices, Kubernetes, Dockers is a big positive.\n\nExperience with developing on Cloud, especially GCP and AWS.\n\nIllustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.\n\nThe Right Results, the Right Way is not just a motto at Priceline; it’s a way of life.
