POSITION: Quality Assurance Inspector 1PAY: $18.00/hr. plus shift differentialSHIFT: M-F, 3:30pm - 12:00am (midnight)LOCATION: Anchor Fabrication, Denton, TXAnchor Fabrication, LLC, a precision metal fabrication company is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector 1. The Quality Inspector will inspect work-in-process and final product to ensure that a quality product is being delivered to our customers. The Quality Inspector will record findings, prepares reports and initiates action for problem resolution. They will also perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure that the facility production requirements are being met.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInclude but are not limited to the following, other duties may be applied.Perform inspections and tests per customer specifications and company proceduresUsing measuring instruments, equipment, and check gauges, evaluate or verify components dimensional requirementsPerform visual inspection to ensure components and assemblies meet customer defined appearance requirements.Perform visual verification to ensure all required components have been used in an assembly as required by BOM or other documentation.Verify standard work procedures (TIS) and process are being followedRead blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerance specificationsInterface effectively with all levels of plant personnelPerform Receiving Inspection of purchased material and components as requiredPerform regular quality assessments of products in all stages of the manufacturing processAt all times, verifies that the calibration status of measuring and inspection equipment is up to date.Has the responsibility and authority to properly identify, quarantine, and report non-conforming product. Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.Participates in the Daily MRB review as required.Perform First Piece Inspection verification of components as requiredDocument inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.Be able to open in the system drawings, BOM, First Piece/t Last Piece Inspection sheetsPerform basic surface repairs as per applicable TIS.Coach and teach the production team about quality requirements and concerns to prevent quality escapesParticipates in the investigation of nonconformities and Corrective Actions to prevent reoccurrence.Mechanically adeptBlueprint reading skills (basic GD&T knowledge)Attention to detailAble to prioritize and work under schedule to meet demandGood communication skillsComputer literateAble to use measuring instruments and check gaugesAbility to read and interpret specificationsKnowledge of shop practices and operationsAbility properly record and maintain inspection resultsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEA high school diploma or equivalent along with:Familiar with a metal fabrication and assembly environment, preferably familiar with metal stamping, brake press, punching and metal cutting, welding, and assembly environmentPrevious Quality Inspection experience is preferredFamiliar with surface plate measuring and use of calipers BENEFITSHealth insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401kPaid time off
