Apply to find out more and become our next ROCKStar.JOB TITLE: Medical RecordsREPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF NURSINGPOSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the professional nurse, performs a variety of clerical duties associated with patient care unit operations.QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED Ability to type; computer knowledge, preferably AHT software; prior knowledge of entering orders into computer preferred Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Good written and verbal communication skillsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Written and verbal communication with members of the health care team, patients, and visitors utilizing equipment such as the telephone and intercomMaintains confidentiality of patient informationAssembles, completes and processes patients' charts as indicatedKeeps patient records accurately identified; maintains an accurate clinical record, recording information per facility policyTranscribes doctors' orders per facility policy Daily review of charts for incomplete histories and operative summaries; any compliance issues brought to the attention of the appropriate member of the health care team for correctionObtains closed records from Medical Records as neededInitiates required nursing forms for new admissions and at month endOrders unit supplies to maintain inventory stock and supplies; assists with receiving, distributing and sorting supplies brought to the unitMaintains an orderly and businesslike environment at the nursing station in order to assist members of the health care team in the performance of their jobs despite high-stress factorsPromotes positive public relations with patients, residents, family members and guestsUses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situationsUse appropriate workplace behavior and adhere to dress code at all timesOther duties as assignedUtilize electronic medical record charting; point click care.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Have the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodationsWORK SCHEDULE:As assigned, including some weekends, evenings, and holidays; non-exempt positionAA/EEO/M/F/D/VWe offer great benefits to our valued team members!Excellent compensation ~ 6 Holidays ~ Life Insurance- Short Term and Long Term DisabilityHEALTH PLANSVISIONDENTALGENEROUS PTOMUCH MORE #becomearockstar #fpacprocks #MP
