Our client, a global aerospace manufacturing organization, is seeking a technical leader to own and optimize critical casting processes used in the production of advanced turbine engine components.This is a highly visible engineering role where you will serve as the primary technical authority for vacuum induction melting (VIM) and DS/SX casting operations, driving process improvements, product quality, and manufacturing excellence within a world-class aerospace foundry environment.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as process owner for VIM and DS/SX casting operationsOptimize thermal profiles, withdrawal rates, and solidification parametersDrive improvements in casting yield, productivity, and qualityInvestigate and eliminate metallurgical and microstructural defectsEnsure compliance with aerospace customer requirements and internal process controlsSupport continuous improvement initiatives through statistical analysis and data-driven decision makingCollaborate with quality, operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve process performanceQualifications Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline 3+ years of engineering experience within a vacuum investment casting environment Strong understanding of physical metallurgy, solidification kinetics, dendritic growth, and nickel-based superalloys Experience with vacuum melting, induction furnaces, and high-temperature casting equipment Familiarity with NDT evaluation, grain structure analysis, crystal orientation measurements, and metallurgical inspections Experience utilizing Minitab, Excel, and process analysis tools Aerospace, turbine blade, vane, or superalloy casting experience highly preferredWhy Consider This Opportunity?
