We take pride in fostering a positive internal culture and an environment that promotes employee satisfaction and professional growth.Role SummaryBoswell is seeking more Construction Inspectors (Level II - IV) and Resident Engineers to perform on-site and office based inspections for highway, bridge, and roadway projects. this role ensures contractor work complies with project plans, safety standards, and contract specifications while supporting project teams through documentation, reporting, and coordination to maintain quality and compliance throughout all phases of construction in the Albany, NY area.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform on-site inspection of various heavy highway and/or bridge rehabilitation/ replacement, culverts, resurfacing, and roadway safety improvement projects.Daily inspection efforts on projects of varied complexity and size in order to ensure contractors operations comply with project plans, specifications, and contract documentsComplete daily inspection reportsPrepare sketches and assemble data to utilize when making field changes to the projectProvide on-site inspection to ensure adequate inspection of contractor’s work, safety protocols, are in conformance with the contract plans and specifications.Assist Resident Engineer, Office Engineer and/or Chief Inspection in keeping track of pay items, MPT compliance, site safety, contract specific requirements, and reporting any deviationsAssure general compliance with the client’s standards and specificationsPerform both office and field Construction Inspection dutiesAdhere to internal standards, policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedQualifications & SkillsAssociates or Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or pertinent NICET equivalencyAbility to interpret plans/ specifications and properly document collected dataPrior history as l Construction Inspector on NYSDOT transportation projectsPrior experience supervising subordinate staff for NICET II to IV assignments preferred Professional Engineer (P.E. or P.
