Brake Set Up Operator - 2nd Shift

ETC in Middleton is looking for the newest Brake Set-Up Operator to join our team in the Metal Shop on 2nd shift!Our ideal candidate will have a mechanical aptitude, knowledge of basic tools, the ability to read blueprints, have great communication skills, and the desire to grow and develop new skills along the way.Come join our team in a well-lit, climate controlled, clean metal shop, and working 4 days a week!Representative Responsibilities:Manufactures parts to the timeframes, standards, and specifications set by the departmentSets up and operates press brakes and prepares work areaFollows procedures and selects tools and materialsEnsures work orders are completedMaintains expected productivity output levels and completes assignments as scheduledEnsures machines are running at full capacity for each jobCompletes paperwork correctly, labels parts per work order and forwards the product to the next stationAccounts for time and work completed via labor reportingEnsures product quality meets standardsBuilds parts to quality standards within specified tolerance as reflected on printEnsures proper tooling is used for the applicationFollows ISO proceduresUses appropriate documentation, e.g. ECRs, and NCMRs, to identify and communicate issuesCompletes machine maintenance in a timely mannerCompletes scheduled maintenanceReports all identified problems to the team leader or managerInforms team lead or manager of tooling needsAdheres to safety standards at all timesEnsures that safe methods and practices are usedAbides by safety procedures, work practice controls, and OSHA guidelinesWears personal protective equipment as requiredIdentifies and reports safety issues to managementLearns new tasks and procedures as needed.Listens to, understands and follows instructions while learning new assignmentsRecognizes unusual circumstances and asks questions when necessaryMaintains a clean and organized work environment.Ensures after task is completed, floor is swept and tools are returned to designated area.Performs other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience1-2 years experience with metal shop equipment6 -12 months of similar experience setting up and maintaining metal shop equipmentKnowledge of various metal shop machinesMechanical AptitudeGood math skillsGood organizational skillsCNC (Computer Numerical Control) skillsAble to read blue printsAble to read measuring devicesBasic English skills to understand quality, safety, work instructions, personnel information, and complete departmental paperworkProven ability to understand and follow directionsAble to work independently and as part of a teamAble to stand for long periods of timeAble to lift up to 50 pounds
