This is a hands-on, cross-trained position for someone who enjoys variety, working with people, learning new skills, and jumping in wherever the crew needs them.\nDepending on your training, experience, age, and the needs of the shift, you may be crafting espresso drinks, working the register, prepping ingredients, firing wood-fired pizzas, serving behind the bar, helping guests, running food, keeping the shop clean and organized, working aboard our food truck, or bringing the energy to one of Downtown Brighton’s Main Street festivals and events.\nYou don’t need to walk in knowing how to do everything, we’ll teach you! What matters most is a willingness to learn, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and being someone your crew can count on.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a Flex Crew member, responsibilities may include:\nProvide warm, genuine customer service and help create the welcoming atmosphere Captain’s is known for\nTake orders, operate the register, answer guest questions, and accurately handle transactions\nLearn to craft espresso, coffee, and other specialty beverages\nPrepare ingredients, assist with kitchen prep, and learn our wood-fired pizza station\nRun food, bus tables, wash dishes, restock, and help keep work and guest areas clean and organized\nAssist with bar service and alcoholic beverages when legally permitted and appropriately trained\nWork food truck events, catering events, community events, and Downtown Brighton festivals\nHelp keep Captain’s clean, safe, and welcoming by completing daily cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the kitchen, bar, dining areas, patios, restrooms, and other shared spaces.\nFollow food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and workplace procedures\nCommunicate with your crew, stay aware of what needs to be done, and be willing to jump in where help is needed\nHelp us create memorable experiences for our guests and bring Captain’s good vibes wherever we go\nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe’re looking for people who are:\nFriendly, dependable, and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team\nWilling and excited to learn new skills\nAble to stay positive and productive in a fast-paced environment\nComfortable moving between different responsibilities throughout a shift\nStrong communicators who aren’t afraid to ask questions or offer help\nReliable with their availability and scheduled shifts\nExcited to be part of a locally owned small business and the Brighton community\nAvailable for some weekends, evenings, food truck events, and festivals depending on the position and season\nPrevious restaurant or customer service experience is a plus, but not always required. We’re just as interested in finding great people who are ready to learn and grow with us.\nFlex Crew is our primary cross-trained position, but we know everyone has different strengths. If you find yourself thriving in a particular area (barista, pizza, kitchen, bar, events, or food truck) there may be opportunities to develop further in that role.
