This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a starting wage of $18.90 - $22.90 per hour DOQ.\n\nACHD offers an excellent benefit package with medical, vision and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays and membership in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI).\n\nPrimary Duties:\nReviews and approves construction permits for temporary work being done in the public right-of-way associated with Zone and Subdivision permits.\nSchedules inspections, calculates and collects fees.\nCoordinates pre-construction meetings for Development Services permits/projects, administration/close out for Development Services permits/projects.\nResponsible for the recordation of legal documents.\n\nQualifications:\nThe successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public, especially communicating detailed policies. A basic understanding of construction terminology is preferred.\nThe incumbent must be accurate and have the ability to multi-task. Strong customer service skills are required.\nGood knowledge of Construction practices and permitting, construction and transportation terminology, and the ability to operate a computer and related business software.\nAny combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities are acceptable.\n\nA completed ACHD Employment Application is required and must be submitted to Human Resources by 4:30 p.m., July 31, 2026.
