Desktop Support Specialist (Onsite)📍 Location: Elizabethtown, NC 28337 (Supporting Columbus, Bladen, and Sampson Counties)🕒 Duration: 12 Months💼 Employment Type: Contract🚗 Travel Required (Travel expenses reimbursable)Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to provide onsite technical support for end users across multiple county locations in North Carolina. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on desktop support experience, and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional customer service.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting hardware, software, network connectivity, user account administration, and enterprise applications in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide onsite desktop and technical support for end users.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues.Install, configure, image, and deploy desktop and laptop computers.Install and configure local and network printers, scanners, and peripherals.Perform user data migration and profile transfers during hardware refreshes.Deploy and support business applications.Manage and update support tickets using ServiceNow.Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, processes, and procedures.Collaborate with infrastructure, network, application development, and data center teams to resolve complex issues.Support Active Directory, email accounts, Citrix access, user account creation, modifications, and permissions.Communicate technical issues and resolution status to customers and support teams.Assist with project implementations and technology rollouts.Follow organizational security policies and ensure compliance with IT security standards.Required QualificationsMinimum 7 years of experience in desktop support, technical support, or related IT field.Strong knowledge of:Computer hardware and softwareNetworking protocols and communicationsDesktop imaging and deploymentPrinter and peripheral installation/configurationData migration and user profile managementExperience using ServiceNow or similar ticket management systems.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.Strong documentation and communication skills.Experience working in enterprise IT environments.Ability to travel throughout Columbus, Bladen, and Sampson Counties as needed.Must be comfortable working fully onsite.Preferred SkillsActive Directory administrationCitrix supportUser account managementNetwork troubleshootingTechnical project coordinationProcess improvement and documentationInterview ProcessIn-Person Interview or Webcam InterviewCandidate must be available to attend an in-person interview if requested.Work Environment100% OnsiteTravel within assigned counties requiredMileage and approved travel expenses reimbursableInterested CandidatesPlease send your updated resume to:📧 vkatta@radiants.com
