Accountants One is working with a manufacturing company in the NW metro Atlanta area to hire an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting plant operations through financial planning and analysis, accounting oversight, compliance, reporting, budgeting, and audit coordination.This Accounting Manager will work closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency, and compliance with internal and external requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform analytical reviews of general ledger accounts and investigate variances against budget and historical performancePrepare account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and subsidiary ledgersSupport the month-end and year-end close processesAssist with internal, external, financial, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) auditsCoordinate audit activities and prepare requested work papers and reconciliationsPrepare monthly cash flow reporting and executive financial presentationsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysisAssist in developing and improving accounting procedures, systems, and internal controlsManage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, disposals, and IFRS 16 lease accountingParticipate in M&A activities and special projects as neededServe as backup support for other finance department functionsMaintain awareness of company recycling guidelines and environmental management policiesQualifications & Skills5-10 years of Accounting experienceExperience in the manufacturing industry a mustStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsClose attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and qualityAbility to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing demandsSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyAbility to adapt in a fast-paced environmentExperience with financial reporting, audits, compliance, and internal controlsProficiency in account reconciliations, budgeting, and financial analysisStrong mathematical and analytical aptitude18522
