Sous Chef

Overview We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, food preparation, and staff supervision to ensure exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Duties - Assist the Head Chef in creating and executing menu items - Supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking techniques - Oversee inventory control and ordering of supplies - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling - Manage the kitchen during the Head Chef's absence - Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dishes and specials Requirements - Proven experience in a similar role with expertise in culinary arts - Strong knowledge of food handling, dietary requirements, and inventory management - Excellent leadership skills to manage and motivate kitchen staff - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality - Proficiency in supervising kitchen operations and restaurant management Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Paid time off Supplemental Pay: Bonus opportunities Ability to Relocate: Sparta, NJ 07871: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
