Lab Technician
The general duties and responsibilities of the Quality Control Lab Technician include but are not limited to
the following:
· Perform glassware management for all laboratory glassware, cleaning and drying.
· Organizing all cleaned glassware in designated area
· Assisting in the waste management in the laboratory
· Assisting in organizing the lab supplies
· Maintaining DI water system in the lab
· Maintain lab consumables supply and place orders as per requirement.
· Provide general housekeeping in the QC lab and any other functional activity as assigned by management.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent education credential (ex. GED) required.
· Proficiently speak English as a first or second language
· Proficiently communicate and understand (read and write) scientific work in English.
· Have excellent organization, learning and teaching skills required to work in teams.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and other scientific based software.
· Experience working within the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.
· Must have prior housekeeping or lab cleaning experience to include cleaning of glassware.
· Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a pharmaceutical lab.

· Must be willing and able to work any assigned shift ranging from first or second shift.
· Work schedule may be Monday to Friday.
· Must be willing to work some weekends based on business needs as required by management.

· No remote work available and relocation is not supported for this position.

Working conditions
This role works in a cGMP laboratory or manufacturing environment, where personal protective equipment is required, which may include uniforms, lab coats, safety glasses, respiratory protective equipment, hearing protection, etc. Work with or around solvents, powders, or other materials commonly found in a pharmaceutical laboratory or manufacturing facility is required. Able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times, when required.The role may be assigned on a work-shift basis, where required (Day, Evening). Weekend or Holiday work may be requested. Work standing or walking unassisted for 75% or greater of an 8-hour period; ability to ascent/decent ladders; and able to lift up to 35 pounds.
Must Haves:
Minimum of 1 year experience in cGMP and regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Minimum successful completion of High school diploma.
Basic understanding of laboratory environment and the operating principles of control systems.
Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions including SOP’s.
Demonstrated ability to work in both independent and team environments.
Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including, OH&S Act.
Mandatory Drug Screening Required.
