With our dedicated team of experienced technical professionals, Cintal aims to add value for its customers by leveraging advanced technologies to reduce product costs, shorten design and development lead times, and accelerate the introduction of high-quality products to the market.Benefits10 paid holidays per year2 weeks of paid time off per year, the current year is pro-rated based on start dateAccess to the company’s medical insurance, including dental and visionEligibility for life insurance and disability coverage for short or long-term disabilities or long- term care needs401 (k) eligibility with employer contribution annuallyReimbursement for relocation expenses up to a certain amount on a case-by-case basisYearly bonus based on company performanceVisa sponsorshipJob Description/Typical Task BreakdownSupport sustainment and obsolescence mitigation projects for legacy components, including risk assessment, alternate part evaluation, and documentation updates Support engineering changes by updating BOMs, coordinating validation/testing, and preparing technical evidence for design reviews Collaborate with suppliers and cross functional teams to resolve component availability issues and ensure long term product supportDuties & ResponsibilitiesExecute assigned legacy sustainment and obsolescence mitigation tasks/projects in alignment with approved plansOwn technical deliverables for assigned components or design families, including analysis, documentation, and reviewsSupport project schedules by completing tasks on time and escalating risks or blockers earlyMaintain accurate engineering records and documentationIdentify and assess risks related to component end of life, supplier discontinuations, and long lead time partsSupport mitigation activities such as component Last time buys, alternate part identification, and redesign effortsMaintain and update component sustainment plans and lifecycle status using proprietary tools.Execute tasks under established design control processes, including documentation updates and technical reviewsSupport design control transfers, supplier changes, and engineering ownership transitionsPrepare engineering evidence to support design decisions, design deviations, or change approvalsEnsure engineering outputs meet design control and documentation standardsSupport component and system validation activities, including EMC, vibration, environmental, and functional testingCoordinate with internal and external labs to execute test plans and collect resultsAnalyze test data and summarize findings to support sustainment or replacement decisionsUtilize standard engineering tools and validation equipment as requiredParticipate in NPI review meetings and provide validation coverage and test results to stake holderWork with suppliers to resolve technical issues and phase out notificationsSupport supplier assessments and technical reviews as neededCollaborate with system teams, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing partnersParticipate in project reviews, design reviews, and sustainment meetings Quality, Compliance & Continuous ImprovementSupport regulatory and compliance activities (e.g., RoHS, CE, and other applicable standards)Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and corrective action effortsIdentify opportunities to improve data quality, processes, and engineering executionEducation & ExperienceYears of experience: 5 years BS Degree; 3 years if candidate has Masters DegreeDegree requirement: Bachelors or MastersRequired Technical SkillsExperience working in legacy or NPI electronic hardware platformsKnowledge of electronic control modules, telematics solutions and display hardware Exposure to obsolescence management, component sustainment, or supply continuity activitiesFamiliarity with validation testing and lab coordinationExperience working with global or cross functional engineering teamsWe are committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and global team.
