This role creates monthly production plans aligned with plant capacity, sales forecasts, safety stock requirements, and inventory targets. Using customer demand, new business opportunities, operational constraints, and forecast data, the Master Production Scheduler develops rolling three-month production plans to support business objectives. This position leads production control and scheduling activities with minimal supervision, ensuring effective coordination across Operations, Production, Sales, Customer Service, and Management; and is responsible for executing strategies and action plans that balance customer expectations, production capabilities, and financial goals. Additionally, the scheduler will collaborate with the shipping department to ensure on-time customer deliveries and overall supply chain performance.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelops and maintains the master production schedule based on forecast, inventory objectives, and customer requests\nReviews and ensures the production requirement dates and customer delivery schedules are in sync\nHighlights significant issues of delayed customer shipments, production problems, inventory shortages and current status to management daily\nCoordinates solutions to any schedule issues with production control and operations team to ensure on-time delivery of product\nUtilizes forecasting techniques and experiences to manage manufacturing contracts with key customers on high volume products\nFacilitates daily production meetings to supply information on the status of material and provides ship dates\nPlans, organizes, directs and controls activities related to the procurement function\nAnalyzes delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and report findings to management\nUtilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques and manages procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements.\nWorks closely with Receiving department to ensure proper supplies arrived and electronically received correctly into system\nMaintain surveillance over inventory to assure good asset management and sufficient inventory to satisfy company production and sales effort\nMaintain procedures which will offer minimum guidelines describing the basic functions of the department and will provide a framework for relationships with suppliers to the company\nStudies work flow and sequence of operations in the department and recommends process improvements.\nWrites and implements standard work instructions for the department, trains all personnel and monitors for effectiveness\nParticipate actively in VOS activities\nQUALIFICATIONS\nStrong knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management, and supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.\nProven ability to develop and manage master production schedules that balance customer demand, inventory targets, and production capacity.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Production, Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, and Leadership teams.\nDetail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive results with minimal supervision.\nDemonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, resolve scheduling conflicts, and support continuous improvement initiatives.\nStrong understanding of inventory control practices, forecasting methodologies, and supply chain performance metrics.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.\nMinimum of 5 years’ experience in Master Production Scheduling, Production Control, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Planning.\nExperience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment preferred.\nProven experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems, Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) tools, and capacity planning systems.\nAPICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) preferred.\nExperience with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, and inventory optimization processes.\nDemonstrated success in improving schedule attainment, inventory performance, customer service levels, and overall operational efficiency.\nTIME TRAVEL REQUIRED\nUp to 10%\nPay: $100,000.00 -
