The tasks will include creation of new components in SAP PLM/PDM, approval of packaging recipes, and the completion of packaging specification in SAP. Monitor reports and dashboards to ensure on time project execution. Manage the integrity and consistency of packaging specification data by acting as the global packaging specification system administrator.\r\nMajor Duties/Responsibilities:\r\nPackaging Development\r\nAssist the packaging engineers to complete new development, graphic update, and manufacturing relocation projects.\r\nVerify and request verps for new packaging components in PLM/PDM.\r\nComplete packaging recipes.\r\nComplete component and assembly packaging specifications in PLM/PDM.\r\nEnsure packaging related data is entered accurately and consistently into the systems.\r\nCollaborate with packaging graphics and packaging procurement to ensure on time execution of assigned projects.\r\nIndependently evaluate and manage assigned projects to assure required deadlines are met.\r\nBy partnering with engineers, utilize existing base specifications to create new items or pack type extensions.\r\nMake material changes to established alternate structures.\r\nReview and approve artwork, in Hershey WebCenter, applied to die lines for compliance with technical requirements.\r\nCreate/migrate specifications and recipes to support business acquisitions.\r\nPackaging Specification System Maintenance\r\nManage the integrity and consistency of the pick list / phrase sets in PLM/PDM for the packaging specifications.\r\nExecute mass changes in the specification system as requested.\r\nPackaging System Data Reporting and Monitoring\r\nReport generation of specification data as requested.\r\nReport generation and analysis of data internal and external to SAP to comply with sustainability initiatives.\r\nMonitor reports and dashboards to ensure on time project execution.\r\nMinimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:\r\nIntermediate level of proficiency required in\r\nBills of material / recipes\r\nIndividual Core Competencies\r\nAbility to fact find in ambiguous situations and partner with engineering on a path for specification completion.\r\nBasic familiarity of packaging materials and technical familiarity with requirements in graphics review process.\r\nExcellent time management skills and workload prioritization.\r\nExcellent follow-through techniques.\r\nOrganized & detail oriented.\r\nAccuracy is vital.\r\nAbility to work autonomously and troubleshoot possible gaps in the process.\r\nAbility to work successfully and professionally within cross-functional teams.\r\nAbility to understand technical drawings.\r\nBasic understanding of manufacturing/converting processes.\r\nMinimum Education and Experience Requirements\r\nAssociate degree in business or equivalent working experience.\r\nMinimum 2 years experience working with technical records, specifications and/or computerized systems, preferably in an integrated packaged goods manufacturing environment.\r\nThe Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
