This role requires operating a large or heavy truck with a focus on safety, adhering strictly to all DOT and company safety regulations. The driver performs routine pre-trip inspections to confirm the vehicle is in proper working condition before departure.\nKey Responsibilities/Essential Duties\nSafely operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment\nLoad and unload equipment, materials, and other items\nVerifying that all items on transport vehicles are securely stored\nEnsure timely and accurate delivery to designated locations\nMaintain cargo documentation\nMaintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle\nPerform routine vehicle inspections and report any issues\nFollow established routes and meet delivery schedules\nAdhere to company safety policies and procedures\nMaintaining communication with Branch Management to provide updates on delivery status, clarify any special instructions, and report delays or issues encountered during transport\nRequired Skills/Abilities\nValid driver license with a clean driving record\nStrong communications skills and customer-focused attitude.\nPunctual, reliable and able to work independently\nMust be 18 years of age or older\nPrevious experience in an industrial or warehouse environment is a plus\nOther Requirements\nPass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal background check\nBe able to provide valid documentation in accordance with I-9 document\nDisplay a professional and courteous attitude\nReport to work at the designated start time\nWilling to travel to various work sites or training as required\nWilling to work overtime, nights and weekends when necessary\nStrictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures and comply with the Company’s “Stop Work” policy\nWear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designation operations and production areas as directed\nHave the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and Supervisor with other duties as required\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nPrior delivery experience is preferred\nGood knowledge of local roads and traffic laws\nWorking Conditions, Hours, Travel\nThis job requires travel to and from client locations throughout a designated region as well as working in a warehouse environment\nThis is a full-time position with standard work hours of Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week\nHeavy local/regional travel by vehicle is expected for this position\nPhysical Requirements\nMust be able to sit in a driving position for long hours with occasional breaks\nAbility to lift and carry heavy objects, usually between 50-75 pounds, such as loading/unloading cargo\nDrivers may need to push/pull heavy doors, loading ramps, or pallets\nReaching overhead to adjust mirrors, open cargo doors, or perform minor maintenance tasks\nRegularly climbing in and out of the truck cab\nFrequent bending and kneeling when performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections or when securing loads with straps or chains\nHandling the steering wheel, controls, and equipment, requiring fine motor skills and coordination\nAbility to grasp and manipulate objects, such as operating tools, securing cargo, and managing paperwork.\nSharp vision to read road signs, gauges, and paperwork.
