This is an opportunity to join our existing and experienced Civil Engineering Department within our established Civil Engineering / Land Planning / Surveying / Permitting / Landscape Architecture firm.Position: Senior Civil Engineer DesignerLocation: Baltimore, MDPosition Type: On-SiteRequired SkillsProficiency in CAD including Civil 3D. Ability to make surfaces, adherence to company design standards, cutting cross-sections in 3D and inserting page sheet auto-numbering. Also proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround timesExcellent written,verbal communication and organizational skillsStrong attention to details while maintaining consistent workflowWork both independently and as a team memberAbility to work overtime when required to meet deadlinesRequired ExperienceWillingness to accept additional duties to support other departments when necessary.Willingness to learn new skill. Ability to accept constructive criticism and use it to grow individually.Baltimore City and/or Baltimore County experience a plusResponsibilities:This position is mainly an office position with some field visits required. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience and be proficient in the following:Ability to design and draft civil engineering plans from concept to final, including public drawings, and on-site drawings as well as produce any corresponding supporting calculationsEngineering Calculations, Hydraulic Computations, Worksheets, Spreadsheets including TR-55, TR-20 and HEC-RASCoordination with clients and consultants to ensure that the design meets their needs and specificationsUsing best practice design standards to meet jurisdictional requirements and construction codesCoordination with jurisdictional representatives to facilitate reviews and advance client projects through the approval processMeet project milestones and deliverables.
