Facilities Building Maintenance Technician
The Facilities Building Maintenance Technician Is responsible for performing a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks in all facilities. This includes the outside grounds, general maintenance (exterior and interior), the overall cleanliness of each building (offices, hallways, stairs, etc.).
Job Responsibilities
Ensure that the outside grounds and building exteriors are properly maintained. This includes cleaning and basic maintenance of exterior walls, windows, lighting, doors, parking lots, structures, gardens, lawns, curbs/gutters, exterior hallways, and exterior stairwells.
Ensure all trash is collected from all facilities and that the areas surrounding the dumpster are clean and neat at all times.
Ensure all building interiors are properly maintained. This includes cleaning facilities, maintaining all facility walls, floors, ceilings, windows, stairwells, lighting, doors, roofs as required and ensuring the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the building.
Basic maintenance and repair work including painting, replacement of lights bulbs, appliances, and fixtures (interior and exterior), replacement of windows, moving furniture and equipment, doors, gates, landscaping, and plumbing.
Assisting tradespeople with electrical, plumbing, or HVAC repairs as needed.
Identifying and reporting the need for repairs or maintenance.
Ensure a safe work environment is maintained through adherence to safety guidelines and policies; Must follow safety rules and ensure compliance with local state and federal regulation and laws. Specifically responsible for repairs and maintenance managed within regulating agencies such as OSHA.
