Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from LVI Associates Position Summary: Our client is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Staff Archaeologist to join their Southern California team. The successful candidate will support fieldwork, reporting, and compliance efforts for projects including renewables/solar energy, land development, and resource management initiatives. This is a great opportunity for an early-career professional to grow within a dynamic and supportive team. Key Responsibilities: Conduct archaeological field surveys, testing, monitoring, and excavation in compliance with CEQA, NEPA, Section 106, and other applicable regulations. Prepare and contribute to site records, technical reports, and environmental documents. Assist with artifact processing, cataloging, and basic analysis. Coordinate with field directors, project managers, and senior archaeologists. Ensure field safety and data integrity throughout all project phases. Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field (M.A. preferred). R.P.A. preferred. 4+ years of professional experience in CRM or archaeological fieldwork (Southern California experience strongly preferred). Knowledge of local prehistory, ethnography, and historical archaeology. Familiarity with GPS units, digital data collection, and GIS is a plus. Ability to work in diverse terrain and weather conditions, sometimes for extended periods. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. What They Offer: Competitive salary based on experience.
