This platform empowers enterprises to manage traditional EDW, data analytics, and advanced AI workloads all within a single environment. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our platform infrastructure is efficient, reliable, and scalable.\r\nWho You'll Work With This position is for a Staff Virtualization Engineer for our Platform Infrastructure team. Our team is comprised of engineers working on developing the latest on-premises solution leveraging the most current virtualization technology (e.g., KVM, VMware), while driving to provide the highest performance on these newest offerings.\r\nWhat Makes You a Qualified Candidate Expert knowledge of virtualization technology including hypervisors and network virtualization.\r\nExpert knowledge of KVM and Harvester.\r\nExpert knowledge of vSphere, vSan, vMotion, vCenter and/or vRa.\r\nExpert knowledge of best practice VMware deployment techniques.\r\nKnowledge of VMware alternatives (KVM/Nutanix, RedHat/OpenShift).\r\nSolid knowledge in automating VMware environment using any of the following language PowerCLI, python, go.\r\nHas experience using Infrastructure as Code like Terraform to deploy VMware components.\r\nHas experience debugging issues within vSphere cluster including but not limited to pktcap-uw, esxtop and esxcli.\r\nExpert knowledge of Deploying Virtualization Solutions in an Enterprise environment.\r\nKnowledge of L2 and L3 network protocols.\r\nStrong understanding of cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.\r\nKnowledge of programming/scripting languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.\r\nVMware Certified Advanced Professional.\r\nMinimum Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with 7+ years of work experience.\r\nMasters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline with 5+ years of work experience.\r\nPhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline with 2+ years of work experience requirement.\r\nWhat You'll Bring Broad understanding of technology and systems while investigating and solving complex problems.\r\nConsolidate or expand reports to communicate effectively to the appropriate audience (e.g., Executives, customers, team members).\r\nDemonstrate excellent analytical and judgement skills using factual and qualitative information from multiple sources.\r\nOpenness to learn new things and work in a collaborative team environment.\r\nDelivers commitments on time with highest quality.
