The packaging department packages most finished goods, including but not limited to flower units, edibles, pre-rolls, vape cartridges, and concentrates. This will include supervising and training all machine operators and packaging associates. The supervisor will need to be proficient in all roles and aspects of the packaging department.\n\nYour role in caring for our company:\n\nThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:\n\nOversee and supervise the day-to-day operations of the packaging department with emphasis on safety, efficiency, sanitation, and quality.\nProvide leadership and direction to team members to create a positive and productive work environment.\nProvide new team members with full training and perform additional training sessions with current employees as needed.\nEnsure team is adhering to company SOPs and company policy in daily operations.\nClearly communicate expectations, goals, and schedules to the team.\nEnsure that quality standards are maintained and continually improved upon.\nMaintain a clean and safe working environment in the department with a high standard of organization and sanitation.\nEnsure machine upkeep and preventative maintenance measures are taken.\nEnsure effective and timely communication of department information to managers, including team goals, progress, performance, objectives, obstacles, and other relevant information.\nSubmit daily production reports to management and maintain detailed records/daily operation logs.\nPlan and delegate the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job.\nMaintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; call for repairs.\nManage packaging inventory of packaging materials and notifying manager when additional supplies are needed in a timely fashion.\nMonitor machine while working to adjust the feed and identify issues to increase productivity.\nMonitor Packaging Associates to ensure they are keeping up with QC/ labeling. Assist them as needed.\nAll other duties as necessary.\nQualifications we ask you to have: For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age\nYou will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check\nWe ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED\nFive years of packaging and/or production experience\nThree years of supervisor or management experience\nAdditional skills which will help you excel in your role: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor others\nStrong Team building and training skills\nAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing\nAbility to provide technical leadership\nProblem-solving skills\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy\nAbility to understand, follow, and enforce established safety procedures.\nAbility and comfort with using power-operated machine tools.\nComfortable using technology/computers to operate machine.\nAbility and willingness to pivot to other tasks quickly.\nAbility to learn new techniques and be open to direction from managers.\nComfortable working around high-speed machinery.\nComfortable with heights (up to 12 feet).\nWork-Schedule/Location: On-site 5 days a week\nPlease make sure you are willing and able to perform the following:\n\nReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.
