Expected to follow client requirements and internal company quality control and quality assurance practices.\nExpected to serve as the interface with clients, other company departments, outside consultants, contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers on technically related matters. Expected to serve as engineering lead or technical reviewer on assigned projects. Candidate will be responsible for working closely with other engineering and project management team members to coordinate overall project deliverables and be responsible for helping maintain project budgets and schedules.\nResponsibilities\n\nResponsible for power systems analysis, fault current analysis, protection coordination, protective relay settings and documentation development and review for a variety of equipment and applications.\nEvaluate equipment specifications and application of new equipment based on customer and industry standards.\nDevelopment of protection standards and templates for customer use.\nDevelop custom logic and control schemes.\nProvide oversight of all aspects of critical electrical infrastructure.\nPrepares and/or reviews project scopes and concepts.\nPerforms checking on projects for accuracy and completeness.\nServe as engineering lead on assigned projects.\nPromote efficient flow of information and ensure complete and accurate record keeping.\nResponsible for effective project planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities.\nEnsure the effective technical support of department needs and requirements.\nRepresent the company and its clients on technical matters.\nAssist field personnel during testing and commissioning, answering questions and ensuring the test results are acceptable.\nTravel as necessary is required for this position.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.\nRegistered as a Professional Engineer or EIT preferred\n5 or more years of electrical engineering experience in relay settings is required\nDemonstrated knowledge of typical transmission, substation and distribution protection applications\nExperience with ASPEN and Accelerator Quickset software required.
