Job Title: Supplier Manufacturing Engineer (Contract to Perm)Company: System One 3 Positions Locations: Albany, NY | New York, NY | Philadelphia, PAWork Model: Onsite / Travel RequiredPosition Type: Contract to PermPosition Overview System One is seeking a Supplier Manufacturing Engineer to provide hands-on technical support and problem-solving expertise to mission-critical suppliers. This role focuses on improving supplier performance, manufacturing efficiency, and on-time delivery through proactive oversight and cross-functional collaboration in highly regulated industries.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport purchasing initiatives by identifying and developing critical suppliersServe as primary manufacturing engineering liaison to suppliers, ensuring consistent production executionEvaluate supplier processes and implement corrective and preventive actionsBuild strong supplier relationships to improve communication, yield, and throughputLead technical reviews including PFMEA, control plans, process audits, and first article readinessConduct supplier capacity assessments and on-site evaluationsLead root cause analysis and corrective action for manufacturing nonconformancesCoordinate supplier readiness for inspections, audits, and regulatory/customer visitsSupport nonconformance dispositioning and resolution activitiesCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, sourcing, and program teamsShare best practices across internal and supplier organizationsTravel up to 50% (domestic and/or international)Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing leadership experienceMinimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment with experience in one or more of the following:MachiningFabrication / WeldingTestingWinding or Assembly processesExperience working directly with suppliers (on-site preferred)Experience in regulated industries (nuclear, defense, aerospace, or energy)Strong understanding of quality systems (e.g., 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001)Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T (ASME Y14.5)Experience with procedures, work instructions, and design documentationStrong problem-solving skills related to manufacturing tolerances and deviationsExcellent communication, organization, and presentation skillsPreferred QualificationsLean Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)Experience evaluating design changes and manufacturing impactsFamiliarity with military or nuclear quality standardsAdditional RequirementsMust be a U.S. CitizenAbility to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance   System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
