Other duties may be assigned.\nReports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from Dispatcher/Supervisor\nReads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities\nDrives truck to destination.\nPrepares receipts/paperwork for load picked up.\nCollects appropriate paperwork and/or signatures for goods delivered and for delivery charges.\nMaintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.\nMaintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor and/or dispatcher to receive delivery instructions.\nLoads and unloads truck.\nInspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.\nPerforms emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs.\nPositions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.\nOperates company vehicles with capacity of up to 105,500 pounds to move materials, tools, and equipment to and from work locations in support of construction and maintenance activities and/or deliver operating materials and supplies from one location to another.\nObserves and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment, and assists during the operation of equipment at job site.\nAble to accommodate a flexible work schedule, long workdays, and/or irregular work hours, be on-call with short notice and exposed to extreme weather conditions.\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.\n\nMathematical Skills\nAbility to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.\n\nReasoning Ability\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\n\nComputer Skills\nBasic computer skills required to use internal ERP System\n\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations\nCDL License and satisfactory driving record with no driving violations including DWI/DUI convictions currently or in the past three years.\n\nPhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
