Dental Hygienist

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. The Dental Hygienist will play a key role in promoting oral health and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing while adhering to aseptic techniques. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation review and medical coding as necessary. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols within the dental office. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care in both general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities. Experience Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred, with familiarity in chairside assisting and general dentistry practices. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and dental terminology is essential for effective communication within the team and with patients. Proven ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining professionalism in all interactions.
