Contract days: 179 daysSalary: $11.90 per hourEmployer paid benefitsLincoln Virtual Learning Academy - Classroom Monitor & GuideThis position is responsible for ensuring that students work to achieve mastery of learning objectives, provide guidance, instruction and support to manage the learning process and focus on students' individual needs. This position will monitor student progress through Edgenuity interactive lessons, daily assessments and work actively with students and parents to advance each child's learning.Incumbent must be comfortable using technology and supporting new users of technology.Job Responsibilities:Proactively track student academic progress and attendance and use the non-compliant process when necessaryTrack and verify that attendance hours are being logged and correlate with number of lessons completedAlert administrators of any concerns about student progressProvide corrective feedback on student work samplesTrack the delivery, return of materials, and computer equipmentAssist with various projects throughout the year with colleagues and administration, as neededThe ideal candidate will have:Shared view of the virtual academy's missionStrong content and subject-matter knowledgeAbility to support and guide adults as well as studentsStrong written and verbal communication skillsOrganization and time-management skillsExperience working with the proposed age groupsExperience in an innovative learning environmentSpecial education training and experience (as enrollment dictates)Experience using Internet search enginesExperience using a student information system and/or other types of databaseAbility to learn new technology tools quickly (e.g., database and web-based tools)Ability to support adults with basic computer set-up and navigationDisplay ability to work collaboratively with others on a teamPerform other tasks, duties, or services consistent with this position as assigned
